THE UNTOUCHABLES HISTORY
Founded in 1958 by eight local African American businessmen who established an annual cook-out on July 3rd and July 4th to celebrate GOD, family, friendship and community.
Over the years the Cook-Out has turned into an Annual event on July 3rd open to the entire community, Untouchables family and friends gather on July 4th to celebrate our independence and blessing.
As the annual event has grown from 8 families to in some years over 2,000 people coming out on July 3rd, the now “Famous Untouchables Fish Fry” is a staple of the Greater Nashville Community.
In the 1980s The Untouchables began to taking bus trips to Tennessee State University Football away games to support the team. Known for the great fun, hospitality, onsite tailgate and luxury bus ride. These bus trips too have become a part of the TSU Big Blue Tiger culture.
And last but not least The Untouchables are dedicated to giving back to the community. Over the years the Untouchables have made donations to Tennessee State University, Fisk University, Meharry Medical College, Parkwood Baseball Program, American Heart Association, St Jude Children Hospital and many other local non-profit organizations.
